Tricks and tips to get the perfect Fripp Island vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Saltwater Solace Fripp Island SC - 4 Bdrm\/3 Bath Pet Friendly ($100 per pet) has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
