Please read as there are a few recommendations for the home:
1. Please make sure the refrigerator door is closed after opening. It takes a bit of force to close.
2. To open the garage, come in the home first and press the middle of the up and down button on the garage opener. Please close it from the inside as well. You can come in through the back or from upstairs.
3. The right side of the garage is lower to the ground so if you have a tall car park in the left side.
4. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD OR IN THE NEIGHBORS YARD ACROSS THE STREET. If you have too many cars to fit in the garage and driveway, park at the golf course as it is only a 2-min. walk from the home! (Get a pass to park at the golf course in the pro shop).
5. Make sure to keep trash enclosure closed after depositing trash.
6. Please do not unplug the sprinkler system in garage

Fripp Island vacation rental tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Book your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by having your group select dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. 425 Ocean Point Lane - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
