Strategies to get the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Fripp Island. To get the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the perfect rental in Fripp Island:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 457 Porpoise Circle - Five Bedroom House, Sleeps 14 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
