Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. - Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
