Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Fripp Island rental home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 718 Swordfish Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
