How to find the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Private neighborhood Pool, Golf cart incl., Wall of windows to watch wildlife has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
