Getting the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- To book the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking the perfectrental home:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 2nd Row Home, Ocean Views, Golf Cart Included-751 Marlin has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
