Finding the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the right Beaufort, SC rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Stunning Custom Designed Home, Private Pool w/water slide and Hot tub, 518 Remora Circle has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
