- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, try changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. - Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. - If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
