How to get the best Fripp Island rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Start by having your group select dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Serene Custom-Built Home with Double Porches & Golf Course Views has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
