Fripp Island vacation rental tips:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. New Rental, Lake Home, Newly Renovated, Golf Cart Included , two king master suites has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
