How to find the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Stunning 5 Bedroom Home, Short Walk to Beach, Includes 2 Golf Carts, 809 Bonito Road 809 Bonito Drive has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
