Getting the best rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Filter your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Fripp Island/Multi Family Friendly/ Dog Friendly/Spacious 3rd Row home/6 Seater Golf cart incl/-703 Amberjack has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
