Tips to get the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Fripp Island\/Multi Family Friendly\/ Dog Friendly\/Spacious 3rd Row home\/6 Seater Golf cart incl\/-703 Amberjack has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
