Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Relax by the Sea! Wide Beach! Beautiful view from porch. has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
