Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Fripp Island:
- Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 276 Tarpon Blvd - Private Pool!!! and Pet Friendly has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
