Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental home:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 276 Tarpon Blvd - Private Pool!!! and Pet Friendly has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
