Our top Beaufort, SC rental home booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summer is high season in Fripp Island. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Feeling FrippSea - Marsh Views - 4 Bedroom has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
