After dinner or on that rare raining day, escape to the warm and airy great room to catch a movie on the 80-inch flat screen TV or cozy up to the gas fireplace to relive the day’s adventures. A second floor loft overlooks this room and further complements the open style of the entire home.

How to get the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Beaufort, SC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. The Ocean Oasis: Newly Renovated Luxurious 6 Bedroom Beach Front Home, Sleeps 18 has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
