474 Tarpon is a 6 bedroom, 3 bath, oceanfront, 24/7 beach home. Recent updates at this property include all new beds and box springs in 2025. A new full-size oven was added in 2024. Interior updates include new paneling and refreshed closets in the upstairs bedrooms. Lastly, the back deck and boardwalk to the beach was redone in 2024. This centrally located oceanfront home is the ideal place for your vacation and will comfortably sleep 14.
This six-bedroom home is set up with two bedrooms with a bath between on each side of the home on the 2nd floor, and two bedrooms with a bath between on the 1st floor. All four 2nd-floor bedrooms have 1 queen bed, a dresser, a closet, and bedside tables on each side. The fifth bedroom downstairs has 2 queen beds, 2 closets and a dresser. The sixth bedroom has 2 twin beds, a closet, and a dresser.
Features of the property include a wide-open main floor plan with privacy in bedrooms when needed. Roomy entry when you enter the home, a great place to take off flip flops and empty beach bags before going upstairs. The laundry room is just to the left of the main entrance and has a full-size washer and dryer and 2nd refrigerator. An ideal place to put wet beach/pool towels to have ready for the next day! The enormous screened-in porch is furnished and leads directly to the propane grille and newly modernized deck and boardwalk. The property is streaming only and includes YouTube TV to allow you to access your choice of live TV, Amazon Firesticks in each room with High-Speed Wireless Internet (one room has a roku tv).
Take a walk down your private boardwalk that is partially submerged underwater at the highest tide. The newly remodeled deck features a place to wash the sand off your feet along with a fish fileting station with running water. Beach access at low tide.
The View:
The home is backed up directly to the beach, with a expansive view of the ocean from the living room, kitchen, and two back bedrooms, really surrounding you with the ocean. One of the best vistas on Fripp Island!

This beach home has been hosting families for many years. The owners updated the back deck and 2nd-floor bedrooms in 2024. Full size oven installed in 2024! All beds and box springs were replaced in 2025 due to fashionable demand.

Located 20 miles from Beaufort, South Carolina, Fripp Island is a gated, private island, comprised of about six and a half square miles. The vistas from Fripp Island are unlike others in the Sea Islands, as Fripp is the most seaward of them all.
