Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Seaside Serenity: Updated! Close 2 Beach! April & May dates still available! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
