Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the right Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Splash of Chic - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 8 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
