The Newhaven complex has one of the best vistas on Fripp Island as it sits right at the northern point of the island. You will savor watching astounding sunsets overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Fripp Inlet. You can appreciate your morning coffee on your private deck with vistas of the ocean.  603 Newhaven is a few short steps to the beach at low tide, Ocean Point Grille, and one of the two award winning golf courses on the island.

This calming villa features an eat-in kitchen as well as a separate dining area. The huge array of kitchen gadgets, bake ware, pots, and pans will make cooking as fun in this kitchen as it is in your own.

Each of the 3 huge bedrooms have ensuite baths and their own TVs.  The primary on the main level has a king bed and a sizable bathroom with both a shower and enormous tub.  Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed and private bath with shower, then the second bedroom is a bunk room that sleeps 5 with a twin over full bunk, a twin, and twin trundle. The second bedroom's private bath has a combination tub / shower.

How to find the best Fripp Island rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose the best vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. A Little Frippsea - 603 Newhaven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
