Vacation rental home tips:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To get the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. CYPRESS COVE: Perfect for Parris Island Graduation! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
