Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Beaufort:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. CYPRESS COVE: Perfect for Parris Island Graduation! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
