Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Book your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Beaufort:

  • First, have your group agree to dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Bright Dreamy Cottage-Walkable to Water & Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you crave, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
