How to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Bright Dreamy Cottage-Walkable to Water & Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.
During your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
