Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose your prefect Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Marsh front Fripp Island Home with limo golf cart. Amenity Cards available. has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
