How to find the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 608 New Haven - Resort Access Included! Great North Island Location! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
