Finding the best Fripp Island rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Fripp Island rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 643 New Haven - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

During your stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
