Rental property booking tips:
Get the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning and choosing your prefectvacation home:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Crabby Cottage 155 Ocean Creek Sunset view, limo golf cart, pingpong, beach toys has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
