Beaufort, SC vacation rental tips and tricks:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Fripp Island. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect rental home:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 33 Davis Love Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
