Finding the best Fripp Island vacation home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Fripp Island, South Carolina - Tree House Getaway has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
