Tips to get the best rental home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Convenient to Downtown And Parris Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
