Booking the best vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Convenient to Downtown And Parris Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
