Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by having your group commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Lowcountry Gump House - Close to MCRD\/Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
