How to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the best Beaufort, SC vacation home:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 170 Ocean Creek - Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.

More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
