Beaufort, SC vacation rental home tips:

How to get the best value:

  • To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Fripp Island home golf cart Included- Updated- Ready to Go has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
