Finding the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Fripp Island home golf cart Included- Updated- Ready to Go has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
