Tips to get the best Fripp Island rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Beaufort, SC attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- First, have your group commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. APRIL AVAILABILITY! - Elevator/2 Masters/Sleeps 15/TWO Car-6 Person Golf Carts has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
More considerations:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
