In the great room, guests can appreciate the sizable-screen SMART TV and stereo above the 'Instant On' gas fireplace from the huge sectional couch or the game table area. This space transitions to a broad screened-in porch with rockers and additional soft cushion seating. Panoramic vistas of the marsh and exceptional sunsets, rich with wildlife and drenched in ever-changing colors, mesmerize from dawn to dusk.

Whether your group is cooking traditional family dishes or experimenting with gourmet recipes, the family's chefs will enjoy the entirely-outfitted kitchen's high-end appliances and cooking essentials. This entertainer's heaven includes a gas and charcoal grille, grilling tools, a huge pot for low-country boils, charcuterie, and serving platters for indoor or outdoor celebrations. The Cuisinart Coffee Maker Barista System is a delight to experiment with your flavored coffees and cappuccinos. Brew filtered 12-cup carafes, individual K-Cups, or Pods. The machine accepts Espresso & Nespresso compatible capsules and has a steam wand to frothed milk.

The vibe in the second bedroom on the main level is ideal for guests who want a separate place to hang out. This cavernous room includes a daybed with Westin luxury twin beds and can also serve double duty as an office, TV room, or game room.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and three full baths with porch access! The lavish primary bath pampers guests with his-and-her vanities, a jetted tub, a huge shower, and a private water closet. The bathroom is large enough to set up our full-size crib and still have privacy for parents with plenty of room.

The second primary bedroom also includes a king-size bed and private bath, SMART TV/VCR, and a rocker for relaxing. The third upstairs bedroom with bunk beds (five total twin beds) and SMART TV is ideal for adults, kids, and teens. Also, do you have young kids in your family? We got you! The rental includes a full-size crib, an adjustable high chair, and a Pack' N Play. You can lighten your load and not have to haul all of this equipment to the beach. Also, there are tons of board games and puzzles to keep everybody happy if there is a rainy day during your stay.

Marshmellow's interiors are impressive, but the giant 24' x 18' Party Deck makes the biggest splash. With ample seating for dozens of guests, a bar, and both charcoal and gas grilles, every day can be a celebration. This beautiful event space has hosted weddings, yoga retreats, large family get-togethers, and many Parris Island graduation events for up to 25 people.

On the ground level, the outside shower is a convenient way to rinse off after a day at the beach. Two parking pads adjoin two large garage bays, providing parking for 4 cars. We own additional homesites right down the street for guests to park if more than four cars are needed for your event.

As a additional, our weekly units include TWO 6-person Club Car Golf Carts with ADA access stickers for direct beach access for family and friends who are unable to walk down to the ocean. This luxury is unique to Fripp and so rewarding for guests with disabilities or advanced age. Also, there are 8 bicycles of all sizes for you to enjoy. This is a $1,200+ value added to the rental—for complimentary.

Located on Davis Appreciate Drive, Marshmellow is directly across from the Ocean Creek Golf Course, where you can watch golfers from a rocker or swing teeing off from the #2 and # 18 holes on the Ocean Creek Golf course. The course is recognized as one of the top golf courses in South Carolina by Golf Magazine, with a 4.5-star rating. Ocean Point Golf Course, designed by George W. Cobb, is a short cart ride away. Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Large Home on Marsh, Party Deck, Game Rm, Two Golf Carts, 8 Bikes, Elevator, ADA has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
