Beaufort, SC rental property booking tips and tricks:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the perfect rental in Fripp Island:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 331 Ocean Point - Resort Access Always Included! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
