Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have deals for local tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful 3 Bedroom Villa - Golf cart included - 604 Newhaven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
