Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

When to visit Fripp Island & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to select the best rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful 3 Bedroom Villa - Golf cart included - 604 Newhaven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
