Fripp Island rental property booking tips:

When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
