Booking the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:

- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
