Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the best Beaufort, SC rental home:
- First, have your group commit to dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Marsh Cottage - Centrally Located to Amenities in Habersham has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
