Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Beaufort. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose and book the rightrental home:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. NEW! The White House, w\/ 2 King Ensuites close to Parris Island and Downtown has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
