Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Beaufort, SC vacation home:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Adorable Ocean View Home, Cabana Club, Golf Cart - 165 Ocean Creek has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
