Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly renovated 3-Bed Villa, Steps from Pool, Golf course and beautiful Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
