Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Completely Remodeled - 609 Newhaven Court has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you are enamored with, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
