Tips for getting the best Fripp Island rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your search:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 705 Silverside Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! Sleeps 29! has 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is best for your group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
