Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose a perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Views! - 449 Tarpon Blvd - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is best for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
