How to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick a perfectrental home:
- First, have your family agree to dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Views! - 449 Tarpon Blvd - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
