Fripp Island vacation rental home tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, change your family's Beaufort, SC trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 423 Wahoo Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
