How to book the best vacation home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental home in Fripp Island:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 423 Wahoo Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
