Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking a perfect Beaufort, SC rental:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Shuck Yeah - Brand New, Panoramic Marsh and Golf Views, Golf cart included 92 Davis Love has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
