Strategies to get the best rental experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best rental in Beaufort:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Superior King Room at The Emerald has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
