Habersham was designed to interact with the landscape including many trees and ponds. Many homes are close to the Broad River, a key estuary. The roads are narrow and speed limits are restricted. Resident cars are parked in the alleys and gravel roads behind the homes. Deer run complimentary and there is a wide assortment of birds here. Parks are located throughout Habersham.
Your best bet in getting around is by walking, bicycling, or via golf car. The Habersham Marketplace has sufficient parking for the eateries and stores. Golf cars are available for rental while you are here. There are at least three rental outlets for golf cars in the Beaufort area.

- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. - Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
