Strategies for getting the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sea Zen Pet Friendly, Great Central Location, Walk to Beach - 219 Tennis Villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If not, call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
